We highly recommend use of the free app – What3words which can be downloaded to your mobile device ahead of the day, to assist with locating the centre entrance on the day much more precisely than Google Maps or using SatNavs alone. What3words works alongside Waze to help avoid traffic delays also. What3words is available as a free app for iOS and Android or view online without download using the direct what3words links to the centre location below.

To locate the centre on what3words search: stole.renew.claps or visit https://what3words.com/stole.renew.claps – this will bring you directly opposite our own entrance door at the Coulsons building (William James House). Please take the next left into the car park then immediately right into the visitor’s parking area. Walk up to our entrance door at the front, past main reception.

From the South:
Take the M11 Cambridge Northbound. Leave the M11 at junction 14, then merge onto the A14 (signposted Newmarket). Leave the A14 at Junction 33, then at roundabout take the 4th exit onto the A1309 (signposted Cambridge, City Centre). ** Stay in the inside lane. At first set of traffic lights, turn left onto Cowley Road. Follow the road round to the right – you will pass Orwell House on the left and Taylor Vinters on the right. Bear left at next set of traffic lights and continue down this road and around a sharp left-hand bend (you will pass a golf driving range on your left and driving test centre on your right). As you come further down, there is a T junction with signs ahead for the station. You should turn left at the T Junction which continues as Cowley Road. A little further up, you will see William James House on the left-hand side (sign written in blue with Coulson Building Group on the yellow brick of the building). The Beauty Academy is located within Coulson Building (William James House).

Come into the car park and immediately on the right you will see an entrance for the VISITOR’S CAR PARK, which is a clearly signposted gravel stone car park as you turn directly into the car park entrance on the right-hand side of the building. Please do not park in any other area of the car park or any marked bays as wheel clamping is in force. Parking is ONLY available within the Visitor’s Car Park as all other parking is allocated and permanently in use by Beauty Academy staff or other occupants of the building.

Once parked, walk up towards the main reception entrance at the front of the building. Walk past the stairs for the main reception along the front of the building and you will find The Beauty Academy have their own front entrance marked with our signage in the windows. Ring the buzzer to gain entry.

From the North:
Take the A14 Cambridge Eastbound. Leave the A14 at junction 33. At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A1309 (signposted Cambridge, City Centre). Then follow instructions as per from the South.

Our diploma and VTCT beauty, holistic, nail and make-up courses in Cambridge are run at our well-equipped beauty school located on Cowley Road, set on a quiet road opposite the well-signposted Cambridge Science Park, making it easily located and accessible by car or public transport (via train and connecting bus from Cambridge City Station or walking distance from Cambridge North station). If travelling by train, we recommend opting to travel to Cambridge North station due to its close proximity to the training centre.

Our Cambridge centre is equipped to teach a wide variety of training courses with up-to-date equipment and excellent teaching staff. A beautifully-decorated student room, where students are seated to learn theory prior to practical training, is joined to the massage and nail/make-up areas.
