This course is suitable for complete beginners to beauty. No previous qualifications or experience are required.

Open to anyone aged 16 years or over. Note this course does not constitute compulsory full time education for those under 18.

This is an intensive course with lots to learn! Student will need to commit around 4-8 hours independent study per week at home to complete this qualification.

Students must have a good command of spoken and written English (grade C or above GCSE English or equivalent).

Students will need access basic IT skills, plus a desktop pc with camera, microphone, speakers and stable high speed internet connection to complete the coursework and written exams (via Zoom) .

Comprehensive learning resources are provided via our online student portal to support your studies, which can be accessed conveniently on desktop, tablet or mobile.

Unit covered within this qualification is:

• UV30434 Anatomical and physiological knowledge of body systems

Most students complete this qualification within around 6 months, however you do have up to 12 months if needed. You will need to complete all the following within your 12-month enrolment period to achieve this qualification. This should be completed within the following guideline timescales:

Month 1-3: Complete written coursework from home, learning guided by a comprehensive e-textbook provided flexibly online via our portal, with up to 3 months to complete this.

Month 4-12: Complete your multiple-choice written exams online from home via Zoom and the VTCT exam website. Usually booked 2-6 weeks ahead.
Certification: Sent via the post once received from VTCT.

This qualification is internationally recognised and OFQUAL regulated. It is highly sought by employers. For those already trained within beauty at Level 2 and/or Level 3, this qualification can unlock opportunities to enter further training within advanced treatments such as aesthetics or teaching. Some further training providers require this qualification as a pre-requirement to enrolment.

For those already working within beauty education, this qualification can count towards CPD (continuing professional development) which is an annual requirement to keep knowledge and skills up to date to ensure best teaching practice.

This qualification extends your knowledge of the anatomy and physiology theory which underpins all beauty treatments, allowing you to work confidently as a beauty therapist when advising your clients or indeed colleagues in-salon or spa; improve your knowledge to help you to progress to higher level positions within employment.
