Our online course learning resources have been created working with our highly qualified & experienced beauty trainers to provide detailed pre-recorded step by steps videos covering all aspects of the treatments. We also provide comprehensive e-manuals and fun, user-friendly multiple choice tests to build your knowledge and confidence throughout your studies. Our Online Student Portal is easy to access and gives you the best possible learning experience, allowing you to study at your own pace and revisit the resources as often you need throughout your course.

Most courses are suitable for complete beginners. Our in-house Support Team are available by email during your studies and beyond to give you the best start to your beauty career. Our friendly team of beauty professionals evaluate your case studies, submitted conveniently by email, to give you confidence that you are delivering your treatments to an industry standard to achieve your well respected & recognised Beauty Academy Certificate. The majority of our courses are accredited by IPHM. Our certificate is accepted by a number of leading insurers in the UK so you can gain insurance to work offering your treatments to the public.

Entry Requirements

Our Online Courses are open to all – there are no age requirements. The Online Courses can be studied worldwide, you do not need to be based in the UK as the courses are studied entirely online with no attendance of our training centres required. This course is suitable for complete beginners to nails / beauty. No previous training or qualifications required.

Course Duration / Timing

Our Online Courses can be completed at any time as the Online Portal can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Practical treatment techniques are taught through pre-recorded professional training videos and e-manuals that you can watch/read as often as you need, at your leisure. There are no timed sessions you must attend online such as through Zoom, all studies are completed entirely through our Online Student Portal.

• This course will typically take around 12 hours to complete, on a flexible basis. You will need to complete 2-3 case studies & submit evidence by email to achieve your course certificate.
• You have up to 12 weeks to access the Online Student Portal & online course resources.
• You have up to 12 months to submit your case study evidence by email to achieve your course certificate.

Studying from Overseas

You can complete this course from anywhere worldwide, on pc/laptop, tablet or mobile phone provided you have a high speed, stable internet connection. You do not need to be based in the UK or attend our centres for the online courses. The Beauty Academy Certificate is accredited by International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) who are recognised internationally. The certificate is accepted by a number of leading insurers in the UK to allow you to get insured to work with the public offering your treatments. If you intend to work / get insured outside the UK, you will need to check with your local authority / insurers in the relevant country to ensure this course will be suitable for your needs.

Difference between Online & Classroom Courses

We offer both Classroom Based Courses (at any of our 10 training centres in the UK) & we also offer Online Courses that can be studied from home, worldwide.

• Classroom Courses are accredited by Associated Beauty Therapists (ABT).
• Online Courses are accredited by International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM).

Either training option will allow you to gain insurance to work offering your treatments to the public. The main difference is in how the training is delivered (face to face, in-class versus studying conveniently online from home).

Some students will prefer having guidance of a live tutor with in-person training, whereas others may not be able to travel to one of our centre locations or have difficulties attending due to limited hours through work or childcare commitments. Our Online courses give you the convenience of being able to complete recognised, accredited beauty training without needing to travel and attend in-person. You have full support throughout your studies with our Support Team available by email. Online Courses are also significantly cheaper due to the nature of how training is provided, which is beneficial for many new to beauty & looking to start their new career with the most cost-effective training option.

How to Study Courses Online

Upon booking, you’ll receive a code to self sign-up for instant access to your online course(s). Alternatively, our team will process your booking within 24 hours and provide a welcome email to access your courses if you have not already completed self sign-up.

Once logged into the Online Student Portal, you can begin working through the learning resources for your course at your own pace. There are pre-recorded video demonstrations, detailed e-manuals and multiple-choice quick knowledge tests to check your understanding of the theory. You can retake tests instantly, as often as you need to pass these.

Once you are ready, you can begin practising your treatments at home on friends/family or a training hand/head as applicable to your course. You will need to complete 2-3 case studies for your course. We provide blank consultation forms and you complete these, along with taking a before/after photo of your treatment result(s). Submit these by email & our team will review your work providing feedback as required and/or your course certificate by email within 7 days. The Online Student Portal can be accessed on any pc, laptop, tablet or mobile device connected to a high speed, stable internet connection.

Models

You will need to practice your treatments at home on friends/family or you can use a nail training hand for some treatments, as preferred.

Kits

No kit is included in the course fee. You will require basic products/tools to practice your treatments for the 2-3 case studies required for each online course. You can use any brand of products you wish to complete your case studies as the courses are not brand specific. Some students may wish to purchase kits/products to practice with, from suppliers such as Salon Services or websites like Amazon. Selected starter kits are available as an add-on option.

Certification

On successful completion of your online course, you will be sent The Beauty Academy Certificate by email within 7 days of submitting your case studies by email. This is accredited by IPHM (International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine) allowing you to purchase insurance to work offering your treatments to the public.

Career Opportunities

Upon completion of your course, you can start your own business working from home or mobile offering your treatments. Earn £25-£40 an hour!

Some salons may also accept you for self-employed or employed opportunities, although this does vary across the UK and is dependent on individual salon/employer requirements for their insurance and/or local authority special treatment licensing (as applicable). For those specifically seeking employment or to work outside the UK beyond training, you may wish to consider our International Qualifications.

Insurance on Completion

Our Certificate is accepted by a number of leading beauty (public liability) insurers including InSync, Radius and many more. It will cover you when providing treatments to the public, but many policies also provide additional benefits such as covering your kit for loss/damage, risk of damage to client property while providing treatments in their home and legal assistance.

You do not need any insurance to attend our courses as you will be covered by our company insurance on the training day(s). This is just for when you start working with the public as a therapist yourself.

All training centre locations are our own exclusive, permanent training facilities are set up, ready to train all-year round. Our centres are highly equipped and staffed by our friendly, fully qualified and experienced tutors. We never train from hotel rooms, conference suites or in-salons to ensure you get the best possible learning experience in spacious, well appointed and easily accessible locations.

All training centres can be reached by public transport. Many centres also have parking on-site or within reasonable walking distance.
