This training package includes:

*You will be working on our nail trainer mannequin hands during the Acrylic Nail Extension course. For all other training, you will give and receive treatments so nails will need to be free of gel polish and extensions before the training days.

This course package consists of three practical training days: Manicure & Pedicure (1 day),  Acrylic Nail Extensions (1 day) and Dry Manicure & Gel Polish (1 day). These courses are not run consecutively and you can choose the dates to suit you at your desired training centre (subject to availability).

Each training day runs from 10am – 4pm and we ask students to arrive at 9.45am to ensure a prompt start. You will learn the theory of the treatment firstly, and spend the majority of the day practising your practical skills, with a short break for lunch.

Manicure & Pedicure is an essential skill for any nail technician; all of us want attractive hands but we don’t always have the time to maintain them. It is one of the most in-demand nail treatments throughout the country, helping to keep natural nails and the skin of the hands and feet healthy and attractive. Better yet, this package also includes the Acrylic Nail Extensions course (a two-component system using liquid and powder; the strongest and most versatile of nail enhancements) which uses the tip and overlay method of application. Lastly, you’ll also learn the ever popular Gel Polish treatments which can be applied to natural nails to give 14 day chip-free shine and colour, or to finish nail extensions. Following this course package, you will have significantly developed your skills to work from home and mobile as a Nail Technician offering the most popular nail services.

We do not include any kits within our training courses, however we provide all products and tools required to complete the practical training on the day, at the training centre for you to use. We took this approach following student feedback so that students are not tied into specific kits or brands of products as part of their course fee, before they are trained and able to make an informed choice. Our training courses teach the generic treatment techniques and processes, they are not brand specific.

We recommend attending training where you will gain advice about different brands and suppliers to enable you to purchase products from your chosen supplier directly following your training. We do offer selected starter kits available to purchase through our website & supplied directly from the supplier to you by courier.

There are no pre-requisites for this course package, suitable for complete beginners to nails and beauty.

Our diploma courses are suitable for complete beginners and do not require any prior learning to be able to train with us; many of our students are not yet beauty trained and are looking to start up a business in the industry. We welcome students of all abilities, whether you are looking to learn a new skill from scratch or currently working as a therapist and looking to refresh your knowledge of particular treatments.

You will work on a professional nail trainer hand for the Acrylic Nail Extension training day so no models are required. You will be required to give and receive treatments on all other training days so will need to remove nail extensions, polish and/or gel polish before attending this training day.

All products and tools are provided for the training day at the centre when you attend. No kit is required to complete the training days, nor included in the course fee. On the training days, you only need to bring a hand towel for your personal use, completed enrolment form and cold food for your lunch (e.g. sandwich/salad).

Our tutors are also all qualified with either Level 4 PTTLS or equivalent teaching awards in education, with years of experience in beauty-related professional industries. When you have successfully completed your training days, you will receive an ABT Accredited diploma certificate issued by The Beauty Academy. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability Insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home and/or mobile to begin earning upwards of £25 an hour!
