Upon booking, you’ll be sent a confirmation email with course e-manual attached. We recommend reading this before your training day to get the most from your course.

As part of this pre-course learning and tuition on the training days, you will learn the following:

Patch Test Kit:

A ‘mini starter kit’ is included in the price of the course as this is required for the purposes of patch testing and will cover you for both the lash lift and brow lamination courses as the same products are used. You will be required to patch test yourself at least 48 hours before your course using these products.

You will also need to bring these products with you to the training days.

If your patch test yields an allergic result, we have alternative, safe ‘inactive’ products for use at our centres which will allow you to learn the techniques but will not produce a lash lift / brow lamination / tinting result.

Entry Requirements

You must be aged 16 years or over to attend our classroom courses. This course is suitable for complete beginners to lash or brow treatments  / beauty. No previous training or qualifications required.

Course Duration / Timings

This course is completed over 2 separate days. Each course duration is 6 hours, you will attend from 10am – 4pm with a short break for lunch. Please arrive at 9.45am for a prompt course start.

Dress Code

If you have beauty uniform (tunic, fitted trousers etc.) this would be ideal. Otherwise smart, comfortable clothing suitable for the practical nature of the courses, such as short sleeved t-shirt with trousers or leggings would be suitable. Shoes must have a closed toe and flat sole. No flip flops / sandals for safety. Long hair (as applicable) should be tied back. Valuables such as jewellery should be removed and left at home.

Structure:

You will attend for 1 day from 10am – 4pm with a short break for lunch. The course is very much hands-on practical throughout the day. Short introduction on the theory followed by tutor demonstration & practical work by students. There are no exams or case studies required, your competence is assessed informally by the tutor throughout the training day.

Models:

No models are required or provided for this course. Eyelash extensions must be removed before attending this course. Students will be required & must be prepared to give and receive treatments as part of this course, so must ensure they complete the patch test provided (lash lift & tint products) no later than 24 hours before attending the course.

Please note – If you are not able to receive the treatment, you will not be able to attend this course.

You will need to bring:

Patch test mini kit for use on the day at the centre. Cold food (salad or sandwich) for your lunch. Clean hand towel for personal use on the course. Pen/paper if you wish to make any brief notes.

This course package allows you to save up to £99 versus booking these courses individually. Lash Lift & Lash Tinting is an excellent alternative to eyelash extensions, enhancing the beauty of the natural lashes for a more open eyed, youthful look. Brow lamination gives a distinctive, fuller brow look that is further enhanced by careful brow shaping and tinting to give improved brow definition. These treatments require maintenance / repeat treatment every 4-8 weeks to maintain the look, allowing you to build a loyal, regular client base and income stream. These courses are suitable for those who want to start their own beauty business from home or mobile, extend the treatments they can offer in their existing beauty business, or simply to pamper friends/family.

We have 10 training centre locations including: London Kings Cross, London Clapham Junction, London Bridge, Reading, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle.

All training centre locations are our own exclusive, permanent training facilities are set up, ready to train all-year round. Our centres are highly equipped and staffed by our friendly, fully qualified and experienced tutors. We never train from hotel rooms, conference suites or in-salons to ensure you get the best possible learning experience in spacious, well appointed and easily accessible locations.

All training centres can be reached by public transport. Many centres also have parking on-site or within reasonable walking distance.

When you have successfully completed your training day(s), you will receive The Beauty Academy diploma which is fully Accredited by Associated Beauty Therapists (ABT). This allows you to gain public liability (beauty) insurance to work with paying clients.

We’ve been providing professional training since 1990 so our diploma is well recognised and accepted within the beauty industry, giving you and your prospective clients confidence in your skills and professionalism.

Diplomas are sent by email within 2 working days of attending your course, allowing you to quickly get started with obtaining insurance, purchasing products/tools from your preferred supplier, and earning offering your treatments to your clients!

Upon successful completion of this course, you will feel entirely confident within your treatment skills. We recommend taking some time to practice your skills following training but you can look to start working immediately as you wish!

Once you’ve received your certificate, you’ll be able to obtain public liability (beauty) insurance and purchase products/tools from your chosen supplier. Once set up, you can begin working with paying clients, offering your beauty treatments on a freelance basis. It really is that simple! Begin earning from £25-£50 an hour depending on the treatments you offer!

Careers within the beauty industry are vast and you can always extend your treatment skills by taking further courses in future, to meet the demands of your clients, if and when you need to.
