Entry Requirements

You must be aged 16 years or over to attend our classroom courses. This course is suitable for complete beginners to lash treatments  / beauty. No previous training or qualifications required.

Course Duration / Timings

This course is completed within 1 day. The course duration is 6 hours, you will attend from 10am – 4pm with a short break for lunch. Please arrive at 9.45am for a prompt course start.

Dress Code

If you have beauty uniform (tunic, fitted trousers etc.) this would be ideal. Otherwise smart, comfortable clothing suitable for the practical nature of the courses, such as short sleeved t-shirt with trousers or leggings would be suitable. Shoes must have a closed toe and flat sole. No flip flops / sandals for safety. Long hair (as applicable) should be tied back. Valuables such as jewellery should be removed and left at home.

Structure:

You will attend for 1 day from 10am – 4pm with a short break for lunch. The course is very much hands-on practical throughout the day. Short introduction on the theory followed by tutor demonstration & practical work by students. There are no exams or case studies required, your competence is assessed informally by the tutor throughout the training day.

Models:

No models are required or provided for this course. Eyelash extensions must be removed before attending this course. Students will be required & must be prepared to give and receive treatments as part of this course, so must ensure they complete the patch test provided (lamination & tint) no later than 24 hours before attending the course.

Please note – If you are not able to receive the treatment, you will not be able to attend this course.

Patch Test Kit:

A ‘mini starter kit’ is included in the price of the course as this is required for the purposes of patch testing. You will be required to patch test yourself at least 48 hours before your course using these products.

You will also need to bring these products with you to the training day.

If your patch test yields an allergic result, we have alternative, safe ‘inactive’ products for use at our centres which will allow you to learn the techniques but will not produce a lash lift / tinting result.

You will need to bring:

Patch test mini kit for use on the day at the centre. Cold food (salad or sandwich) for your lunch. Clean hand towel for personal use on the course. Pen/paper if you wish to make any brief notes.

1. Payment in full using Credit / Debit

Lash lifting treatments are aimed at those wanting long-lasting, natural-looking eyelash enhancement without the need for mascara or lash extensions; something that is desired by many and currently in high-demand. The process uses innovative, effective techniques to gently uplift and straighten the lashes, creating a more prominent, enhanced lash-line to define the eye shape of your client. Eyelash tinting, especially popular for those with fairer colouring, is an efficient treatment in creating the much-desired darker eyelashes, and can be retained on the lashes without staining or streaking. The results last approximately 6-8 weeks and once your client has tried these treatments, they will return regularly to maintain the enhanced appearance of their natural eyelashes. These profitable services can be offered together and will provide you a steady source of income from returning clients.

Our tutors are also all qualified with either Level 4 PTTLS or equivalent teaching awards in education, with years of experience in beauty-related professional industries. Furthermore, our tutors who are involved in the assessment process all hold an Assessors Award.

When you have successfully completed your training course(s), you will receive a diploma certificate issued by The Beauty Academy. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training, but also allows you to obtain Public Liability Insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home and/or mobile.

Once you have completed your practical training day with us, there is no additional work to be completed. Your diploma certificate will be sent to you within 1-2 working days and you can then begin working from home and/or mobile, once insurance has been obtained.

All of our diploma courses enable you to work from both home and mobile offering the specialised treatment(s) that you have completed. You can start earning by offering treatments to paying clients as soon as you have obtained your insurance.

Once you have completed your diploma course, you have the opportunity to further your skills by completing additional training.
