Once assessment days are booked and confirmed (written or practical), we cannot reschedule these as we incur a fee in generating your assessment paperwork and reserving your assessment place. For written exams, we must request exam papers for you from the awarding body no later than 14 days before the exam date so we cannot fill cancelled places at last minute.

This fee also applies where you were late arriving for the assessment / joining the exam Zoom session. It also applies if you were turned away from practical assessment e.g. due to incorrect uniform or arriving without models/products & tools.

Where you find you are unable to attend a booked assessment, in line with our terms and conditions, we can book you for a further assessment date at a cost of £120 per day required.

Our team advise of VTCT written exam results by email within 7 days of your exam date. If you have not met the exam pass mark on some of your exam papers, you will need to resit those exams only.

This is charged at a cost of £25 per exam paper or £50 per Paper B exam paper required (Paper Bs apply from your 4th exam attempt onwards).

Our team may agree, in consideration of exceptional circumstances, to cap the exam resit fee at £120 which is the rate per day for assessments.

If you have attended for your practical assessment and been unsuccessful in passing the assessment day e.g., did not work to safe and hygienic standards or within commercially accepted timescales and have received feedback from the Assessor on the day that you need to reattend for re-assessment, a fee of £120 per day required will need to be paid to book a further assessment date.
