This course is suitable for complete beginners to beauty. No previous qualifications or experience are required.

Open to anyone aged 16 years or over. Note this course does not constitute compulsory full time education for those under 18.

This is an intensive course with lots to learn! Student will need to commit around 16-20 hours independent study per week at home to complete this qualification.

Students must have a good command of spoken and written English (grade C or above GCSE English or equivalent).

Students will need access basic IT skills, plus a a pc, tablet or mobile device connected to a high speed internet connection to access our online student portal. Comprehensive learning resources are provided via our online student portal to support your studies.

No kits are included in the course fee, but products are provided for use on your training day(s). On the training day, you’ll need to bring a hand and bath towel for your personal use, completed enrolment form and cold food for your lunch (e.g. sandwich/salad).

You will need basic products and friends / family at home to complete your case studies. You submit a before / after photo and consultation form by email for each case study. Case studies allow you to gain full confidence in delivering all treatments to a professional standard and receive individual feedback to improve. Optional Starter Kits available to order here

Students must give and receive beauty treatments during training days, working with other students in attendance.

5 ABT Accredited Practical Training Days are included in this programme covering:

• Facial Massage & Skincare
• Make Up Essentials
• Waxing
• Manicure & Pedicure including Luxury Aspects
• Highly Defined Brows

You will need to complete all the following within your 12-month enrolment period to achieve this ABT Accredited Level 2 Award. This should be completed within the following guideline timescales:

• Attend for 5 days of practical training at our centre(s). No models or kits required. Training runs from 10am – 4pm. Please arrive for 9.45am. A diploma will be provided following each training day to allow you to gain insurance and begin taking on your first paying clients from home / mobile, should you wish.
• Month 1-3: Work through the extensive learning resources on our online student portal including videos and e-manuals. Complete the short multiple choice tests online to check your understanding.
• Month 1-9: Practice your treatments at home on friends/family (or clients if you’ve obtained insurance) with up to 9 months to complete these.
• Month 9-12: Submit your case study evidence by email to receive individual feedback and/or your Award by email. Should any additional treatments be required to achieve the standard necessary for certification, you’ll be given feedback and up to 3 further months (within your 12 month enrolment period) to complete this.
• ABT Accredited Level 2 Award Certification: Sent via the email once your case studies

All courses enable you to start your own business both from home or mobile offering beauty treatments. Once you’ve attended your training days to obtain your ABT Accredited Beauty Academy diplomas, you can gain insurance to start earning by offering treatments to paying clients.

Once you have completed your ABT Accredited Level 2 Award in full, you will also have a nationally recognised award at level 2 that is mapped to the professional standards of VTCT (NVQ / VRQ) qualifications with in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge for a full range of beauty treatments giving you the best possible start to your beauty career.

On completion you can upgrade to the VTCT qualification (should you wish) within 3 months by simply offsetting this course fee against the equivalent VTCT qualification fee. Alternatively start working in the industry and progress to further training / teaching in beauty. The career opportunities are vast!

All training centre locations are our own exclusive, permanent training facilities are set up, ready to train all-year round. Our centres are highly equipped and staffed by our friendly, fully qualified and experienced tutors. We never train from hotel rooms, conference suites or in-salons to ensure you get the best possible learning experience in spacious, well appointed and easily accessible locations.

All training centres can be reached by public transport. Many centres also have parking on-site or within reasonable walking distance.
