Our online courses all provide a well known and recognised certificated issued by The Beauty Academy on completion.

Our online courses are accredited by IPHM (International Practioners of Holistic Medicine) allowing you to gain insurance to work from home or mobile on completion.

Our online courses are accepted by leading insurers including Radius, Insync & Towergate.

Our online courses are designed to be simple, straightforward and fun to complete.

Upon booking your course, you’ll be sent a self-sign up code to allow you to begin instantly accessing your online course, or wait for your welcome email from our team within 24 working hours. once you’ve set up your login details, you can access your online course through our portal on any pc, laptop or smart device. Accessible online from anywhere, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week allowing you to study where and when is convenient for you. Dip in and out of your studies as you please with 12 weeks access to the online course resources and 12 months to practice and complete your case studies.

For case studies you can use any brand of products, including products you may already have at home or buy from your preferred beauty supplier. Alternatively, we have affordable starter kits available to purchase on our website with home delivery within 3-7 working days. Practice on friends or family. Selected courses you can opt to work on a training hand or head as preferred instead. The key thing is to practice and develop confidence in your new skills.

Once courses provide detailed e-manuals and step by step videos covering each aspect of the treatments taught on your course. Learn at your own pace, revisiting the resources as you need to perfect your skills and confidence. Feedback on your treatments and additional guidance from our team as you require.

Complete quick, fun theory tests on the portal which are all multiple choice to test your understanding of the theory. Retake these instantly, as often as you need until you reach the pass mark of 70% or above on each test.

Certificates are sent by email once case studies accepted. It couldn’t be simpler to learn skills for a new beauty career, or enhance your existing beauty career opportunities by learning new treatments.

All course bookings are confirmed within 24 working hours. Please check your junk / spam mail as occasionally emails can be misplaced into junk due to the attachments.

Your confirmation email has information about how to access our portal and guidance on completing online courses.

If you have not received this, once you’ve checked your junk / spam mail, please email [email protected] who can check the email address we have on file for you and resend.

Before we can successfully pass you on the course, we will need for you to submit your case studies to us. Case studies (treatments completed at home) are required for most online courses. These can be submitted by email, attaching copies of the consultation & feedback forms, and before/after photos to [email protected]

Once we have received your case studies, you will receive feedback and/or your certificate within 14 days, once our team have evaluated your work.

For theory based courses where no case studies are required (e.g., Online Business Course, Online Anatomy & Physiology) etc., please simply email our team at [email protected] once you have successfully completed all theory on the online portal, including achieving 70% or above on all theory tests. They will then be able to check your progress and issue your certificate by email within 24 working hours.

After this time, if you cannot locate your feedback/certificate within your inbox and have checked junk / spam, please email [email protected] who can check the email address we have on file for you and resend.

When you initially enroll for the courses, you’ll receive a welcome email with a one-time use link to confirm your details and set up your unique portal password.

Once you’ve set up your account, you can login to the portal following this through at the normal portal website link⁚ https://thebeautyacademy.litmos.com/

Unfortunately Internet Explorer is not supported by our online student portal. Please use an alternative browser.

If you are using a tablet or mobile phone to access the online portal, you may wish to download the free and safe app to your device to ensure compatibility with the portal. Search your device’s app store for SAP Litmos app. Once downloaded, open the app and enter the domain as⁚ thebeautyacademy when prompted and then login with your existing student portal login details.

When booking an online course through our website, you will receive an automated confirmation of payment with a self-sign up link and unique, one-time use code to gain instant access to the online student portal. Follow the guidance within this email to allow self-sign up and gain instant access to your course online.

This link/code is valid for 48 hours, although all course bookings are manually processed and confirmed by our team within 24 working hours. If you have not yet used self-sign up by the time your booking is processed by our team, they will add you to the online course and provide a welcome email to allow you to set up your login details without self-sign up.

Self-sign up codes are for one time use so please do not share these as this will prevent your access to the online course / forfeit your course fee.

If you have previously studied online courses with The Beauty Academy, you may find self-sign up is declined as our system recognises you as an existing student. In which case our team will provide a welcome email & access to the course within 24 working hours once your booking is manually processed.

If you have been unable to use self-sign up and not received a welcome email to access your online course within 24 working hours, please email our team at [email protected] who will check the details we have for you and resend this to you.

There may be several reasons why you cannot login:

• Ensure you are on the correct login page for our portal: https://thebeautyacademy.litmos.com/
• You may have entered your password incorrectly 3 times in a row which for security, will lock your account for 15 minutes. Wait 15 minutes then retry.
• Your account may have expired (access to the portal for online courses is for 12 weeks and for VTCT courses is for 12 months). Email us at [email protected] if your account has expired & you require assistance.
• You may be entering your details incorrectly – check you’re entering your email address as your username. Avoid cutting & pasting details as this may include spaces that count as an incorrect character & are not obvious to see.
• You’ve forgotten your password – Passwords can be reset using the ‘forgotten password’ option on the portal login page to send a password reset link email to your email address. Check your junk / spam if you do not receive this reset link email in your inbox.
• If you’ve followed the above & still cannot login in, please screenshot the error message presented and email our team at [email protected] with this, for further assistance. Our team will respond within 24 working hours.

We will consider requests to make changes to booked online courses subject to the following⁚

• You have not yet accessed the online course
• If agreed by our team, the change of course may be subject to an admin fee of £50, plus any applicable price difference dependent on course(s) booked.

Please email our team at [email protected] to advise of the change you require and our team will be happy to help further.

You are welcome to transfer the booked person on an online course to another person, provided the online course has not yet been started. This may be subject to an admin fee of £50.

Our online courses allow you to study flexibly and conveniently from home, with no attendance of our training centres required. All study is completed online from home. There is no classroom training included within the online course fee. Online courses allow you to achieve a recognised and insurable certificate on completion, to work from home or mobile as you may following classroom training.

You will need access to a suitable device (laptop or pc recommended), with stable high speed internet connection to access the online student portal. For most courses, you will need to complete case studies so will need access to basic products/tools at home and a small number of models.

On occasion, some students may find upon enrolment to their online course, that they change their mind about how they wish to study, their circumstances may change or they may feel they require further support face to face.

Students have the option (for selected courses only, where equivalent classroom training course is available), to upgrade their online course(s) to the equivalent 1 day classroom based training course at an additional cost of £100 per course/day required. The upgrade from online to classroom training can be made only within 12 weeks of booking your online course (before your online course access expires).

If you would like to enquire about upgrading your online course(s) to classroom training, please contact our team by email at [email protected] in the first instance and we can then advise on availability and cost for this. This option is not guaranteed and is offered as a gesture of goodwill to support our students. Your online enrolment remains valid and non-refundable, should classroom training be unavailable for your booked online course.

As per our terms and conditions, all course bookings are non-refundable.

The only exception to this are for bookings paid through the following payment methods⁚

• Klarna
• Newpay

These payment methods allow you a statutory 14-day cooling off period which starts from the date of your payment and ends 14 days later, or as soon as you have activated online portal access and/or attended a training date. If you fail to attend a booked classroom training date without notice within your 14 day cooling off period, this will be treated as if attended and your cooling off period will still expire. If you wish to cancel your agreement, please email [email protected] in the first instance, ensuring this is received within the 14-day period. Requests outside of this time will be declined.

Access to the online student portal to allow you to view the course resources, complete the theory tests and download the practical assignment is provided for 12 weeks. You have up to 12 months from date of booking to submit your case studies to us, to achieve your course certificate.

If you experience any difficulties in completing your studies, please contact us at the earliest opportunity so that we may assist you. We can provide additional time to access to the portal (usually an extra 30 days). Depending on the circumstances, this may be subject to a £25 re-enrolment fee. Please email our team at [email protected] if you require further time to access the portal and they will be happy to advise further.

Our online courses are not brand specific, you can work with any products / tools you may already have at home or purchase these from your preferred supplier. Guidance on products required for treatments are included within the course manual for each online course, found on the portal.

For convenience to allow you to get started with practising your skills quickly, we do offer optional starter kits on our website from only £49: https://www.thebeautyacademy.org/starter-kits/

These are sent to you by post, directly from the supplier typically within 3-7 working days.

If you have any queries regarding a kit purchased through The Beauty Academy, to include tracking of delivery, kit damages or returns, please email [email protected] who will be in touch within 24 working hours.

Most courses will require case studies be completed at home, to allow us to check your level of understanding and skill at providing the treatments taught on your online course. Required case studies, along with guidance on how to complete these are provided within the practical assignment pack on the online portal, under the ‘Additional References’ tab for your course(s). You will need to download a copy of this pdf file from the portal to allow you to complete and submit the required case study evidence.

You have up to 12 months to submit your case studies from the date of your booking. These can be submitted even after your portal access expires.

Case studies should be submitted by email to [email protected] including the following for every treatment on the practical assignment list for your course:

• Before / after photo for every treatment to show the result achieved (or 3 postural analysis photos for massage courses only)
• Consultation form
• Feedback form

You can complete the forms either digitally by typing directly into the pdf files provided, or by printing, hand writing and then scanning or taking a photograph; to allow you to submit these by email. You may need to send a separate email for each of your 3 treatments, attaching the evidence, dependent on the size of your files and email provider’s attachment size limit.

If you struggle with submitting case studies by email, these can be printed and posted to us. Please contact our team for more guidance on this.

Feedback and/or your certificate will be provided by email, within 14 days of receipt of your case studies.
